Mount Field National Park
Begin your day with a drive through the Derwent Valley before arriving at Mount Field National Park. Explore the park’s lush rainforest, towering eucalyptus trees, and diverse wildlife. Take a short walk to see Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls, two of Tasmania's most famous waterfalls. Along the way, keep an eye out for wallabies, platypus, and rare bird species.
Lunch and Tastings
After your time in the park, there are opportunities to explore local produce options in the area. Visit Westerway Raspberry Farm to hand-pick berries (seasonal), stop by Plenty Cider for tastings, or enjoy a visit to the historic Salmon Ponds, known for its gardens and café.
MONA Museum
In the afternoon, you’ll head to MONA, Australia's largest private museum. Enjoy free time to explore its art exhibits, or relax at the on-site winery and brewery. If MONA isn’t your choice, you can catch a shuttle back to Hobart.
Return to Hobart
For those at MONA, you can either book a ferry back to Hobart or wait for the guide to return you by bus.
